On tables being reversed. I met my wife one day when I was spending a lunch time on my own at a table in a pub nursing a beer. She and a friend (who was a work colleague) came over and we were introduced. A couple of years later my wife would more often than not sit alone at a table in some venue listening to me playing songs for the umpteenth time. I sometimes wondered if she regretted our first tabular encounter.
Better Now
When we met
I was sitting alone at a table
You were with your friend
You came over and introduced yourself
Oh,
You know better now
You’ve learned your lesson well
Oh, and how
When we were abroad
You were sitting alone at a table
I was on a stage
I come over when I was able
Oh,
You know better now
You’ve learned your lesson well
Oh, and how
