About Giacomo Fiore:

Giacomo was born in Genova, Italy, in 1983. He had always lived there when he moved to Bogliasco (a small village just outside of the city limits) in early 2003 with his family. later that year he crossed the big pond to attend Belmont University, seeking a degree in classical guitar performance.

“Tones from an Open Heart” features 10 tracks, all originals written by Giacomo, with three amazingly talented guest musicians to help him bring out the best in a few songs - Lee Holland on percussion for five tunes, and a string duo made up of Ashley Fisher on viola and Justin Saunders on cello for “Genteel”.

Title: Unquestionably One For A CD Player’s Repeat Button!

Virtuosity, power and delicacy of touch are everywhere herein. The sheer joy in music making is evident throughout and is underpinned by Giacomo’s unfailing sense of line and dynamic control. Tunes of subtle and infectious syncopations abound and are interlaced with delicately phrased and contemplative harmonic musings. Suberb melodic invention is displayed by the introspective Embers In the Fireplace and Genteel while the quirky turns of Dealing With Rejection are smile inducing. Each track brings its own particular delights – there is freshness around every corner of this record. The contributions from the percussion and strings are just right: providing depth and color but never getting in the way Giacomo’s vision. A superbly recorded collection that demands repeated listening…
